So beautifully written, Cat. Vulnerable and raw and real. Thanks for writing it, I relate so much and having it articulated in your voice is perfection x

I have a husband but he will probably never do this. Unfortunately for me he doesn’t show love through the preparation of food. There are other things that make me glad we’re married, luckily, but there are still times I’m sad about this and it really has troubled me deeply at various points in our relationship.

deeply DEEPLY resonated with this...as a home cook myself i give so much love through food and only occasionally, but still, wonder if someone will serve me a plate one day, cooked with equal amount of intention and comfort:")

It sounds as if your not in a good place. My advice, catch some fish, gather some mussels and other shellfish, cook them over a wood fire in the garden with nettles to smoke them. You can use a spade if you don't have a pan for outside cooking. I think you have been eating too much chicken and are picking up their habits. And last but not least get yourself a man.

Yours Faithfully James
