I am often asked by various friends and sometimes strangers, where to go to eat, and I’ll happily oblige, offering up options depending on their location, group size and timeline. I write a lot about places I like in my Leftovers column, but haven’t thought to centralise these recommendations and throw it out to people when they ask.

I tried to keep this list pretty tight – it is by no means expansive, simply a list of all my favourite places that I love to return to because I’m a creature of habit. I’ll be updating this regularly – but I hope it brings you some inspiration for 2024.
