This was a blank space for an hour whilst I browsed the internet for flights to Marseille and cute sun-soaked Airbnbs with terraces and thoughts of escaping the cold, harsh winds of London in January. Sorry to be so bum out on the UK right now but I cycled back from yoga and at one point was held still by the wind. Absolutely zero movement. Other than being enchanted by the below interaction between Andrew Garfield and Amelia Dimoldenberg at the Golden Globes, I’ve been making spicy stews in my donabe pot like this one. I made it from the concept of a kimchi jiggae (using up old kimchi, adding stock and soft pieces of tofu) with the added flair of mapo tofu (using pork mince instead of pork belly). I texted my mum asking about it but I was too hungry to wait, so I improvised and it turned out better than if I’d stuck to a recipe, which seems to always be the case!
