To me there is nothing more perfect than a cool, bright, blue sky autumn Saturday. Strangely being slightly hungover makes it even better – like more of a reward to leave your bed (after hitting snooze five times), rush to get a coffee, then meet friends for an early lunch of a tightly packed, oozing square of lasagne as the sun warms your face. Cooler evenings and this seasonal shift call for a return of brothy beans and chicken suppers.
