I had good intentions. I took a break from writing before Christmas – enough time to rest and refresh. Instead, the flu zapped me of all my energy before and after Christmas, relegating me to my bed (and bathroom floor). Ironically, I’ve never been so hydrated or healthy, in an effort to correct course on my apparent bodily failings. So far, it’s not worked (the 4am finish to a boozy new years eve mixed with painkillers might not have helped). I’ve ingested a wild amount of ginger and fresh turmeric. I’ve made daily green juices and thought more about what I was putting into my body than ever before. I am still sick. But we move. At least, I hope I will in the next couple of days. Happy 2023! As soon as the brain fog clears and the literal grey skies disappear and I’ve had a 90 minute deep tissue massage, I’m sure I’ll be a tad more positive about it all…
