A perfect autumn cardigan, a souped-up minestrone, stock tips and a Sunday roast recommendation.
I didn’t write an essay on Sunday. I have no excuse other than I was tired and didn’t have much to say, and I think that’s a good enough reason to let Sunday roll on without needing to needlessly write or ask anyone else to needlessly scroll through words that don’t mean anything.
Instead, I’ve been gathering my thoughts around self-perception, reflections and bodies for this Sunday, which I’ll be joyfully writing whilst sitting in my childhood bedroom noticing the scent of 7am sausages (my dad wakes up at 7am to put the sausages on a slow and low heat in the pan for 2 hours).
This week I’ve been dreaming up new ideas, seeing friends, not reading enough, moving my body and cooking everything and anything in a brothy chicken stock. In any case, here are a few ideas and recommendations from my brain this week.
