Who knew that leaving your house could actually make you feel good? Not me, apparently. I spent yesterday eating an exemplary ham sandwich (thick pats of butter, soft standard white bread, salad) in a Bethnal Green caff and the afternoon playing with London clay at the very talented Alison Cooke’s workshop and asking her questions about being an artist and living in London in the 90s. Plus yoga classes two evenings in a row – unheard of since the pandemic! A room that smelled like incense, unlocking memories of jungle shalas and fewer responsibilities. So, better late than never, here are a few recommendations from the past week.
