This is late! So it’s going to be short! My friends are down and we’re going to do more eating out in one weekend than I’ve done the whole summer. Last night we ate a whole John Dory with a salad whose dressing was creamy but somehow had no dairy in it?! I was confused when she said it was just dijon vinaigrette blitzed with shallots, but I guess that kinetic energy really emulsifies a sawce. Anyway.

Fancy beans + eggs. I’m copying my friend Mimi and will post a recipe next week but it’s a sort of jammy onions, fennel seeds, tomatoes, gochujang, whatever bean you’re into + the bean stock, fresh corn kind of vibe with boiled eggs on a bed of tahini.
