Had a real battle with my body this week. My skin feels altered and I was having one of those ‘I need to figure out the problem so I can find a solution’ frustrations. My tendency to solve a problem by creating another one is quite profound. I’m planning on writing an essay about how the concept of health changes as you get older – it wavers around the cosmetic but you start understanding how internalised bad habits can be. I’ve started every morning with a smoothie or green juice and a walk around the neighbourhood, and at least 15 minutes of sun when it’s been there – can’t tell if it’s making me feel better or if it’s psychosomatic. Ready for the onslaught of summer – spring just isn’t hitting it for me right now, must be those galeforce winds and below 15º temps… I’m heading to LA just after my oldest friend’s wedding (I’m a bridesmaid!) in a week and a half, where I’ll reunited with my best friend and sister. It’s her birthday today (on the day of writing), so please enjoy this picture of us in Whistler.

A week’s worth of meals

  1. Batch make this peanut crunch kale salad and serve it with lunch and dinner for days.

  2. A spring green panzanella to usher in the season!!
