The true Taurus in me means knowing how to look after my tired, sick body. It likes to break down in the winter, and although I’ve found it truly impossible to speed up getting over a cold, there are a few things that make it feel less shit. These involve a lot of broth, turmeric, ginger, citrus, spice and honey. In the absence of energy, I’ve been cooking the simplest and habitual dishes that don’t qualify for a new recipe-not-recipe. So please enjoy this round up of remedies that I’m making whilst shuffling between the fridge, the bed and the 53ºC showers I’ve been taking.
